Providing New Buildings for
Healthier Communities

Our Projects

Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership was formed in 2004 as part of the UK Government’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative.

LIFT has been developed to address the chronic need to provide new, fit for purpose primary care facilities. As health policy shifts focus toward more being done out of primary care facilities, this need is growing and the drive toward a joined up approach to the delivery of primary care and social care only exacerbates the need for action.

Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership is the strategic partner for delivering this agenda across Liverpool and Sefton. The current state of the primary care estate in these areas is poor. This leads to difficulties in recruiting and retaining GPs and other primary care staff, there are also abnormally high number of single handed GPs nearing retirement. It is against this background that LSHP is helping its partners to deliver change.

Although the majority of the projects undertaken by Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership are developing new health care facilities via the LIFT initiative, we also assist in the development of services for the wider health and social care community.
